Betrayal (a silent film)

Man and woman just finished making love

They’re lying in bed and he mouths “I love you ” and she begins to smile

He kisses her gets out of bed and starts to get dressed

As he leaves her apartment, she explodes with the joy of being in love

She looks out the window to watch him walk to his car. She sees him hugging and kissing on another woman, and then getting into his car together

She’s confused and hurt. Tears roll down her face as she looks out the window. She runs to her phone.

She starts to call him and hangs up immediately, she starts to text him, and everything she writes she erases. Then she texts him “I love you”

With no response, she screams. She runs into the bathroom and stares at herself in the mirror in pure disgust. She begins laughing in disbelief like that was an illusion.

She opens her medicine cabinet and grabs a bottle of pills. Pours the entire bottle in her hand. Then, she wipes a tear from her eye and puts them back into the bottle.

She turns on the shower all the way to hot. As the bathroom begins to fill with steam, she sits in the corner rocking anxiously.

She turns off the shower and walks back into her bedroom and rips all of her sheets off the bed because she can’t look at them anymore.

She walks to her kitchen and grabs the biggest knife she owns and examines it with a sinister look on her face…

*continue with other ways of her emotionally processing what just happened*

Her phone buzzes, it’s a text message from him nearly an hour later saying “finally home, ILY”
