The rays of the early morning sun seep through the broken blinds of his apartment. He feels the warmth from those rays on his face, and he can see the glaring sunlight bleeding through his thin eyelids. He slowly opens one of his eyes slightly in a squinting manner. Frustrated, he turns his head in the other direction in order to go back to sleep. As he finds his comfort, the alarm on his cell phone goes off with an obnoxious loud ring.
He angrily slaps his pillow and pushes himself to a sitting position on the bed. He takes a deep breath, and as he exhales, his shoulders drop along with his head in an extremely depressing manner. He struggles to get off the bed but as he does, he steps on the plate of food he had for dinner the night before. This just enraged him even more.
As he slowly walked to the bathroom, he turned on the bathroom light and looked in the mirror. His mirror was covered with residue from brushing his teeth, and water stains from when he showered, and it seemed slightly cloudy because it hadn’t been cleaned in months. As he looked at himself in the mirror he noticed he still had food stuck in his scraggly beard, and instead of grooming himself, he just picked the food pieces out. He washes his face brushes his teeth, and wipes his face with a towel that was on the ground.
As he’s leaving his bathroom, he turns off the light and walks to his closet on the other side of his bedroom. As he looks around his closet, three empty hangers are hanging up and a few piles of clothes are scattered on the closet floor. As he scrounges through the piles of clothes, he brings each piece up to his face and smells them to make sure it doesn’t have an odor. He finds a slightly wrinkled shirt and some jeans with a ketchup stain. The stain is close to the waist of the pants so he’s just going to use his shirt to cover it up.
As he’s leaving his apartment, he notices the trash is overflowing and has a powerful pungent smell. He does his best to ignore it and grabs his keys, his water bottle, phone, and wallet. He takes one more look at his apartment closes his eyes and takes a deep breath and leaves his apartment to go to work.
As he’s walking down the three flights of stairs from his apartment, and he reaches the last step, his keys slip out of his hands. As he reaches over to grab them, the top of his water bottle is loose, and the pours all over his shoes and the ground. At this point, he has steam coming out of his ear from how frustrated and angry he has been this morning. He walks to the front of the apartment complex and then down the street to the nearby bus stop.
The bus arrived shortly after he reached the bus stop. He reaches into his pocket and grabs his wallet. He searches his wallet and realizes he left his bus pass on the table. Instantly he gets frustrated and has to swipe his debt card to pay for the trip.
The bus ride slowly moved along, stop after stop as he got closer and closer to his destination. Finally, his stop was next, he pulled the stop alert and stood by the exit door. Once the bus stopped and the doors opened, he gave the driver a lazy wave and exited.
As he was exiting, a lady carrying groceries was walking past the bus door and he accidentally bumped into her. Her bag ripped and all of her groceries spilled across the sidewalk and street.
He was startled and sped and walked away without giving the woman any eye contact even though he was the reason her bag ripped.
